The Architecture of Hope

There’s something very different about holding a physical copy of something that, not that long ago, only existed as a thought.

And then slowly, through early mornings, late evenings, and more rewrites than I care to admit, it becomes something real.

This weekend, I received the first physical copy of The Architecture of Hope 🎉

And if I’m honest, it’s a mix of pride, relief, excitement, curiosity… and a quiet question of “what happens next?”

Because this was never about writing a book for the sake of it.

It was about trying to make sense of something I’ve seen time and time again, in organisations, teams, and individuals plus my own personal experience in the last few years. That in uncertain moments, what really makes the difference isn’t just strategy, process, or experience. It’s something less tangible, but I believe is incredibly powerful.

🔶 The concept, the meaningful infrastructure and application of HOPE 🔶 .

In the book we explain that HOPE is not just a feeling or blind optimism. But much more powerful based on our research and something that can be recognised, shared, and even facilitated for others to benefit from.

That’s what this book explores, through a modern, illustrated (even funny) parable with a practical framework built from real-world experience embracing research, theory and a number of real case studies from Resourceful People Group Ltd showing these concepts in real life (more to follow in future posts).

Along the way, I’ve been fortunate to have the thinking challenged, supported and endorsed by people whose work I respect hugely — including the amazing Ross Thornley, MABP, Jen Fisher, Dr. Nadya Zhexembayeva and Scott Hunter – thanks for their contributions and encouragement.

This is not a typical business book, and it’s not just for leaders…so fundamentally it’s for YOU as we are ALL now having to (& will continue to) navigating change, uncertainty and simply learn to leverage HOPE much more as we grapple with the constant changing environment we are all now operating within.

So if you’re curious, I’m very happy to share more or please reach out to your local bookstore / amazon to find your copy (ISBN 978-1-80769-069-4). Thanks in advance. Steve
